CHRISTMAS COLOURING IN COMPETITION - 2012

To get into the Christmas spirit Collie and Tierney decided to run a colouring in competition for children up to
the age of 12 with the lucky child winning a $100 City Heart Voucher.  We had alot of colourful and decorative
entries which made it very difficult for Tess from the City Heart Management team to choose a winner however congratulations to Billie on her fantastic entry.

CORPORATE TENNIS COMPETITION

In 2011 Collie and Tierney took part in The Mildura Lawn Tennis Club Corporate Tennis Summer
Competition.  We entered 2 teams and the "Collie and Tierney Hot Shots" were good enough to take out the premiership. Having such a fantastic time in 2011 we decided to enter another team for 2012 and won back to back premierships.  Congratulations to the "Collie & Tierney Hot Shots".

ROTARY CLUB OF MILDURA & THE LONGEST LUNCH - 2012

Tim Aldridge, a Director of the company, has a big role in the local Rotary Club of Mildura.  He is responsible
for Community Services and earlier this year was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow, a prestigious achievement
for his services to the Rotary Club.

Tim joined the Rotary Club of Mildura around 11 years ago and for the past 7 years has organised the local Longest Lunch.  The event is held every year in March and it has become bigger and bigger with many of the same people and businesses returning year after year.

This year’s event featured the unique produce, wines and beers of our region, in a superb four course meal prepared by Season’s at Quality Hotel Mildura Grand and accompanied by great entertainment in an alfresco dining experience.  All the proceeds from the 2012 event will be used to assist with funding Mildura & District based programs supporting the development of our districts future leaders, including the very successful
Rotary Voyage of Discovery Program.

Through the Rotary Club Tim is also involved in assisting with a 4 day leadership program for the Voyager Discovery on the Ruby.  Tim together with Collie and Tierney sponsor and mentor a student who takes part
in the program, which aims to develop the leadership skills of our future local leaders.

The lucky student who was selected to take part in the 2012 program for the Voyager Discovery was Henry.
Henry has just completed Year 11 at Mildura Senior College and is into music, singing at concerts and taking
part in amateur musicals with Red Cliffs Musical Society and Red Cliffs Players with the last being Romeo
and Juliet.  Henry is also a coach with Vida Mildura and has his sights on doing International Studies at
RMIT when he completes Year 12.  Congratulations Henry!

HOME SHOW MILDURA - 2011

Collie and Tierney were the only real estate office to be part of the very first Home Show Event in Mildura.  It was a fantastic opportunity to get out and talk to the public and answer any of their real estate queries.  We held a competition as part of the home show function for anyone who listed their property with us for rent or sale and the winner received a 40” LCD High Definition Plasma TV. With just under 500 entries local couple Linda & Peter were the lucky winners.  Thank you to everyone who visited our site over the weekend.

HOME SHOW MILDURA - 2012

After such as successful year in 2011 Collie and Tierney were excited to again be part of the Home
Show Mildura in 2012.  An LCD TV and Blue-Ray player were this years prize for anyone who listed
their property for rent or sale with Collie and Tierney and the lucky winner was Troy from Loxton.
Thanks to everyone who entered.

MALLEE FAMILY CARE - CHRISTMAS TOY APPEAL

Every year and for the past 10 years Collie and Tierney has been involved with Mallee Family Care in providing Christmas presents for those children in need in the Community.  We understand the pressures on families around Christmas time and hope that we will put a smile on a few childrens faces in Sunraysia on Christmas morning.

Collie & Tierney were again involved in the Mallee Family Care Christmas Toy Appeal for 2012.

LIFESKILLS SUPPORT PROGRAM

For the past 6 years Collie and Tierney in conjunction with the Lifestyle Skills support program have enlisted a
very special helper called Sarah.  Sarah comes into the office every Wednesday for and hour to help out where needed.  She is a valuable and much loved part of our team and always brings the office to life when she visits.

HELPING THE CARDROSS FOOTBALL NETBALL CLUB GET BACK ON THEIR FEET

Collie and Tierney staff member Amie Tiller has been heavily involved in helping to raise much needed funds
to assist the Cardross Football/Netball Club to get back on its feet after devastating floods struck the Community in February 2011 which left them with no clubrooms or sporting grounds.  As a Committee Member and netball player for the Cardross Football/Netball Club Amie has helped to organise several fundraising events including a Karaoke night where an auction of goods donated by local businesses raised around $5,000 for the football/netball club and also the Cardross Cricket Club who also lost everything in the floods.  All the money raised from the fundraising events go toward helping to re-build the clubs clubrooms, sporting ground and replace equipment lost in the floods.

The Cardross Football/Netball Club and Cricket Club are the heart of the small Community of Cardross and it has been a tough 2 years for both clubs to survive financially and also to be able to compete in the football/netball and cricket seasons so to finally be back on their home turf in 2013 will be a boost for the community, members and players for both clubs.

HELPING THE MERBEIN FOOTBALL CLUB GET BACK IN THE BLACK

After 45 years of involvement both as a player and member of the Mildura South Football Club and his previous experience helping to re-build his own club, by building and selling three houses, when Lyle heard about the struggle of one of the opposition teams in the Sunraysia Football League “The Merbein Magpies” he decided
he would help out.   Together with club officials, sub contractors and a host of volunteers a luxurious three bedroom home was built at 14 Nicholas Avenue, Mildura.  Lyle then put his real estate skills to the front organising an Auction campaign.  Although the property was passed in on the auction day with was sold only a few weeks later.  Through his efforts Lyle was able to help out a struggling club, which has a long and colourful history in the Sunraysia Football League with a substantial amount from the auction ensuring their future in the league.
